Aqua Paisleys - remind me of ocean waves!

I little bit ago I blogged about an aqua scarf that I fell in love with and said I'd make a bag.

Well here it is -- I think it's so elegant, but adorable!

I love using scarves that have borders -- this scarf had flowers and then large paisleys and I took advantage of each!

An Incredible Gift!

I had a lovely weekend at a gathering of friends I hadn't seen for a while.

What a pleasant surprise, one of them brought mounds of scarves, many of which were made in India.

I was so excited! I chose a emerald green one, with shiny silver embroidery and sequins; a red, blue, tan, yellow scarf with elephants and a lovely border; and an incredibly vivid aqua scarf among others.

Some of these I will make into incredibly unique bags, I can't wait!

Tell Me Why When You're so Blue

SKY

Tell me why when you're so blue,
You're most tranquil (In a good mood)?

Like blue ink spilled you're smooth and wet.

Your enormity scares me,
Comforts me,
Spares me,

From emcompassing doom
When in grey gloom you sometimes cry.

I wrote that poem when I was about 17 for a writing class. I remember I was outside on a spring day...feeling the vastness of the sky, the air was a little cool (it was a Florida day in the morning) and birds were active all around me.

It's not spring yet, but people are anxious for it. Here's a few treasuries with spring time blue in them (and my Sea Wolf bag).

My Large Gingerbread Man Purse

I just completed the larger version of my miniature gingerbread man purse. It is so, so adorable! I've never used felt to make a large purse before, and I love the way it feels and looks. It has a wintry and holiday look to it. The felt is thick and sturdy and it's easy to add bling when you're dealing with a neutral color like gray.

Look for more felt type bags from me!

Red and Blue Stockings

These are two stockings I just finished, they are to be matching with a green stocking with the same elfen shape. They all have gold beads hand sewn around the top, and all have coordinating ribbons on the top. Pretty, pretty!
